Callooh Callay

The name might be a bit of a tongue-twister and thats because Callooh Calley doesnt follow the norm, instead it has its own independent feel of eccentricity about it.

Opened in 2009, in Rivington Street, Shoreditch, this really isn't a bar that cares what you think. A wall of casettes by the toilets, miss-matched furniture and a drinks lists named 'Random Shit', all go towards making this one of the coolest bars in London at the moment.

Don't go though if it looks like you're trying to look too cool, this place really is for the effortless!

Bar Pepito

This tiny bar is feels like a home from home its that cosy. forget sitting in your living room all night, just get down to Pentonville Road, Kings Cross and stroll into a place like no other.

Pepito is dedicated to sherry, in fact it sells 15 different varieties, and even the tables you sit around are sherry casks. This quaint little bar offers you the chance to sample plenty of them too by paying the 'sherry flight' for somewhere around £8.

To add to the eccentric nature of this bare-bricked bar, you have to pop over the road to the toilet, at Camino, owned by the same people as Pepito's, so it really is like you've had to leave your living room to visit the loo.

French House

A bar with a little more culture than your average drinking hole. Located on Dean Street, Soho, The French House is a modern 'hold-out' from the modern world, where mobile phones are banned from been used within the premises and if you ask for a pint, you'll also be laughed out of the door as they only sell continental halves!

Time Out magazine has recently given this bar the full 5* rating, saying 'the greatest crime a drinker here can commit is being a bore.'

Look like you better take some good conversation with you!
